I've put up some more pictures from the January ski trip with the California gang. Credit for the new pictures to Mak and Andrea, thanks!
Not too much else exciting around here yet. We are getting all ready for the new little one, only a few weeks to go! The kitties are all doing well now that Zoe is recovering from her bladder stones. We are finally getting some snow. I wish it would finish and the sun come out, I'm tired of gloomy days and Lena wants to go sledding.
Wow another year gone. I know the new year was actually yesterday but New Years marks the end of the 2 month crazy holiday and birthday season so the whole family spent the day in our pajamas. Today we were moderately more productive and at least put on clothes. We also took Lena to see "The Princess and the Frog" this morning. She did pretty well and liked it a lot. I'm sure there was something productive we should have done, like take down Christmas decorations, but after the office overhaul and BJ prepping the shed construction site we were ready for a break.
It was a good year and I hope you enjoy the gallery of photos for the year and the Christmas season is mostly up now. Looking forward to 2010 we are now in preparation mode for the new baby. Lena is already sorting her toys into "sister" and "not for sister" categories. BJ and I need to sort out the crib recall and dig out all the baby gear. At least we have a few months to get it done!
Happy New Year!
We had a great Christmas yesterday! Lena had a wonderful day and even got to spend the night with Grammy and Pa-Pa since she fell asleep over there and it was cold out. She made an amazing haul of presents and has loved playing with every single one. I've posted the first round of pictures in the gallery. I'll get the ones from Mom's camera today and try to get them posted too. I'm currently working on a movie so with luck that will be up shortly.
I got a roomba that is currently terrorizing the cats. It seems really cool and Zoe follows it around since she is too curious to go hide but every time it turns her way she flips out. Very funny to watch. Zoe also had a stand-off with Lena's horse. The cat came around the corner of the playroom and poof goes the tail. After staring and stalking for a while she decided the horse was ok.
Well, I better get over and pick up Lena! Hope everyone had a great Christmas!
No new pictures, I just thought I'd take advantage of a snowy day to post a life update. I always mean to do this more often and somehow I get busy. But today I'm doing anything I can that keeps me under my blanket on the couch! Life has been going very well here. Lena loves "big girl school" and potty training is going great finally. She is cute as a button and keeps us on our toes. My favorite example was from last weekend's Bronco game. Lena wanted to watch Sesame Street but Pa-Pa, Grammy, Grandma, and Uncle Eric had all come over to watch the game and have dinner. So I told Lena that sometimes other people get to decide what we watch on TV. She turned around and said in her unhappy voice "I know. But sometimes I'm grumpy about that!" After we all managed to stop laughing she was content to play tackle with Pa-Pa.
Nothing too exciting is going on. We are preparing for the craziness that is the end of the year. It all starts in about 2 weeks. I have another business trip to KSC and get back right before Halloween. From there we have visitors and holidays nearly non-stop until the new year. I'm sure there will be lots of pictures and I'll try to upload as often as I can. My computer has recently been revamped by BJ and should be a good to go. Well, naptime is half over and I haven't left my blanket so I better accomplish a few things before Lena gets up and is ready to play more.
Well I finally got the pictures from the trip to LA over the 4th of July posted. There are a few on the beach but most are from Disneyland. Lena thought it was pretty cool but she was scared on most of the rides. She really liked Dumbo and Tom Sawyer's Island though! Enjoy the pictures!
